About this chapter

Read this chapter attentively. It contains important information to prevent personal injury while installing and using a P Hxx series

projector. Furthermore, it includes several cautions to prevent dam age to the P Hxx series p rojector. Ensure that you understand and

follow all safety guidelines, safety instructions and warnings mentioned in this chapter before installing your PHxx series projector.

After this chapter, additional “warnings” and “cautions” are given depending on the installation procedure. Read and follow these

“warnings” and “ca utions” as well.

The User Manual is very important. Please read the User Manual before using the product. Keep the manual

for reference.

Access to User Manual

The User Manual is av ailable on the C D which is shipped with the product. Perform the followi

ng to access the User Manual from

the CD:

1. Insert the CD into the CD-ROM drive of a computer.

2. Browse to the root folder of the C D and click on “startup.exe” (only in case the CD doesn’t start automatically). As a res ult an

HTML window w ill ope n in the Internet Brow ser.

3. Select your product and navigate to the User Manual.

4. Click on the PDF link to open the Us er Manual.

About the term PHxx series

The f ollowing projectors are included in the term PHxx series : PHWU-81B, PHW X-8 1B and PH XG-91B

1.1 General considerations

Safety labels

The lightning ﬂash with arrowhead s ym bol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to

the presence of uninsulated “dan gerous voltage” within the product

’s enclosu re that may be of sufﬁcient

magnitude to constitute a risk o f electric shock.

The exclamation point within an equilateral triang

le is intended to alert the user to the presence of important

operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accom pany ing the applianc e.

Do not use abov e 2000m above sea level.

Do not look into the projector ’s lens when the lam p is on. The bright light m ay hurt and damage your

eyes.
